Fridgeworthy ("the App") helps parents capture and organize school documents. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information: Apple ID email address (via Sign in with Apple). We do not collect passwords.
- Children's information: Names and optional details you provide about your children, used solely to organize documents within your account.
- Document images: Photos of school documents you scan or import.
- Extracted data: Dates, action items, highlights, and summaries generated by AI from your documents.
- Device information: Device model, OS version, and app version for crash reporting and diagnostics.
- Usage analytics: Anonymous event data (screens viewed, features used) to improve the App. No names, document content, or children's information is included in analytics.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Core functionality: Processing your documents, extracting dates and action items, and organizing them by child.
- AI processing: Document images and extracted text are sent to AI services (see Section 3) for content extraction. This data is not used to train AI models.
- Error monitoring: Crash reports and error logs help us fix bugs. These contain device information and anonymous error context, not document content or personal information.
- Analytics: Anonymous usage patterns help us improve features. We do not track document content, children's names, or personally identifying information in analytics.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following services to operate the App. Each acts as a data processor under our instruction:

None of these services use your data for training AI models or for purposes beyond operating the App.
4. Children's Privacy
Fridgeworthy is designed for parents, not children. Children do not use or interact with the App directly. Information about children (names, school documents) is provided by parents and organized within a household account. If you invite another parent to your household, they will have access to the same children's documents, events, and action items.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Children's information from scanned documents is never shared with third parties for advertising, profiling, or any non-essential purpose.

6. Your Rights
- Access: All your data is visible within the App.
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from Settings > Delete Account. This immediately removes your account, profile, all documents, images, children's data, and subscription records.
- Portability: Contact us to request an export of your data.
7. Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication is handled through Apple's Sign in with Apple. We do not store passwords. Access to user data is restricted to essential operations.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
