Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Fridgeworthy ("the App"), operated by Fridgeworthy ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of a jurisdiction where the App is available. The App is designed for parents and guardians to organize school-related documents.

2. Account

You sign in with Apple (Sign in with Apple). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose: capturing, organizing, and managing school documents. You may not:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App.
• Use the App to store or transmit malware or other harmful code.
• Circumvent usage limits, subscription restrictions, or security measures.
• Use automated means to access the App (bots, scrapers, etc.).

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings. Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.

We may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes do not apply to your current billing period.

5. Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content you upload (documents, images). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the App's services (AI extraction, storage, organization). We do not use your content for advertising, training AI models, or any purpose beyond operating the App.

6. AI Processing

The App uses AI services to extract information from your documents. AI-generated results (dates, action items, summaries) are provided as-is and may contain errors. You should verify important information independently. We are not responsible for actions taken based on AI-generated content.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms other users or the App.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases. Sections on liability, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of California.
